Maya Lopez/Echo

In the comics, Maya Lopez is a deaf Native American woman who takes on the mantle of Ronin to avenge her father’s death. She is first seen as Ronin in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Endgame.

In the Ultimate Marvel universe, the Ronin Marvel is taken on by Marc Spector, a former mercenary who becomes the leader of the New Warriors. Is Barton a First Ronin?

Clint Barton is the first character to take on the Ronin persona in the comics. However, in the MCU, Natasha Romanoff is first seen as Ronin in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War. It is unclear if Barton adopts the persona before or after Romanoff. Generally, in the MCU, the Ronin persona is taken on by characters looking to atone for their past actions.
