Watch The Iron Man Movies In Order: An Epic Journey

Since Iron Man was released in 2008, Marvel has been on a roll. They’ve had an iron grip on the industry and their movies have smashed box office records and made billions of dollars at the global box office. Iron Man (2008)

Iconic billionaire playboy philanthropist, genius inventor, and weapons contractor Howard Stark’s son, Tony Stark. When Lt. Col. James Rhodes, the leader of an Iraqi army unit, is given a weapons presentation by Tony Stark, he takes him to his enemy’s territory in Iraq. Tony is attacked by the terrorist group known as A.I.M., which results in what he thought was his death. After rebuilding himself, better than ever with iron-plated armor and an iron heart, Tony takes on a new identity to fight against evil forces who would want to hurt him or see the world destroyed through its misuse of weapons. In Iraq, he uses a rudimentary device to flee from the cave. He resumes working on perfecting the Iron Man suit once he’s back in America. However, a man named Justin Hammer has some evil plans for using Stark Industries’ technology for other purposes.

The first Iron Man movie is the best place to start your journey. It introduces us to iron man and his origins over time. The second Iron Man movie picks up where Iron Man left off, but there are a few times when you might see some spoilers for this one if you watch it right after the first Iron Man movie.

The Avengers (2012)

The super-soldier Captain America and the enigmatic Tesseract device have both been recovered by S.H.I.E.L.D. The Tesseract is a doorway to an unknown world known as Asgard, which has recently been discovered by the United States of America’s scientific agency S.H.I.E.L.D. Loki, a strange being from another world, arrives on Earth and thinks he can rule the world. However, S.H.I.E.L.D. director Nick Fury takes issue with this attitude. The Tesseract has been taken away by the Asgardian, and Loki’s capture is seen as an act of war against Earth. A desperate Loki uses the Tesseract to open a wormhole above New York City, opening up an army of Chitauri warriors who descend upon the unsuspecting people on Earth’s surface in order to destroy and dominate them.

The only way to stop this is to put together an actual superhero team. Dr. Bruce Banner, who transforms into the Hulk, a huge green monster. Tony Stark with his legendary Iron Man suit. Captain America, the military leader created by Stark Industries. Thor, the god of thunder, the protector of Earth, and Asgard’s king brother Loki. Hawkeye, a master archer, and marksman. Black Widow, the Russian spy with no allegiances to anyone but herself. And lastly, Nick Fury is responsible for assembling this team of misfits together in order to save humanity from Loki and his army of aliens.

Avengers is one of Marvel’s top series, and its characters are no exception. The Thor movie series, Captain America sequels, and the Hulk movies all have unique stories. If one wants to get a true sense of Marvel’s history, one should watch these films in their correct chronological order.

In this universe, there is also Ultimate Spider-Man (2012) and Hulk and the Agents of S.M.A.S.H (2013). This originally included Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy (2015), but it crossed over with Marvel’s Spider-Man (2017). As a result, all of Guardians of the Galaxy was retconned as happening in an alternate dimension.

Tony Stark is having trouble sleeping because he is working on a new prototype of the Iron Man armature for over 72 hours. He also remembers a strange encounter with Swiss genetic scientist Maya Hansen in Bern, Switzerland, on one occasion where he mocked his fanatic, Aldrich Killian, on New Year’s Eve 1999. The terrorist Mandarin believes that the attempts being broadcast on television are the product of explosions in Los Angeles. After a deadly explosion severely wounds Tony Stark’s bodyguard and friend, Happy Hogan, the Mandarin challenges him and offers his home address. Fortunately, he survives the attack by Mandarin and awakens in Tennessee. However, three helicopters attack his home, and he loses everything but his prototype, which awakens him in Tennessee. Tony attempts to utilize the faulty prototype, but he quickly discovers that a past event from 1999 is related to today’s terrorist assaults.

Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

After a successful attack on a HYDRA facility, Tony Stark and Bruce Banner build an Artificial Intelligence called Ultron, a peacekeeping program intended to assist the Avengers in defending the globe from their foes. However, when Ultron views humanity as a risk and sets out to destroy it along with the Avengers, everything goes horribly wrong. The Avengers, Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, the Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye must reassemble in order to prevent Ultron from wreaking havoc. Aside from this, the Avengers must also battle Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch as well as the new entity called Vision. After discovering a power beyond their comprehension, the Avengers have to stop Ultron, a technological enemy bent on wiping out life on Earth.

Because he feels guilty about his own past recklessness, Stark (aka Iron Man) pressures Captain America to accept the arrangement; nevertheless, Captain America is afraid that if the Avengers were run by the United Nations, their personal ideologies might clash with the organizations’.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)

Thanos, the enraged titan in this film, begins his quest for the universe’s most powerful commodity, the Infinity Stones. Thanos sent three of his best men called Proxima Midnight, Ebony Maw, and Cull Obsidian who were told to take the Time Stone from Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange was able to use it to restore Vision’s mind- even though Corvus Glaive broke it. But they could not get the Time Stone from him so they left.

Doctor Strange was able to make Thanos disappear by using the Time Stone but he could not use it for himself because if you go back in time, your current self will fade away which means Doctor Strange would have died at his own hands. Spider-Man and Iron Man tried their best against Ebony Maw until they were swallowed into a portal in which they were saved by Doctor Strange.

Thor, Rocket Raccoon, and Groot went to Nidavellir where they found Eitri who was the dwarf that created Thor’s hammer (Mjolnir). He had his hands removed after Thanos destroyed it because he made something for him in exchange for sparing his people but he did not. He made a weapon for them which is powerful enough to kill Thanos and his children, the Black Order.
