Fans Abandon Disney’s Choice for Ariel Character as “Halle Bailey” is not White!

On July 3, 2019, Walt Disney Studios confirmed “Halle Bailey” will play role of “Ariel” in Disney’s upcoming remake of “The Little Mermaid”.

Previously Halle Baily is famous for her role on the freeform series grown-ish. Marshall, John DeLuca, Marc Platt, and Lin-Manuel Miranda will produce the remake of Disney’s “The Little Mermaid”.

Moreover, Rob Marshall will the director of Disney’s all-time favorite movie.

The film will feature beloved songs from the animated classic by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as new songs by Menken (music) and Miranda (lyrics).

On the confirmation of who will play the Ariel role in the upcoming Disney film, Marshall says:

“After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance—plus a glorious singing voice—all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role.”

But after Disney confirmed to cast Halle Bailey as Ariel on social media, Massive chunk of fans start criticizing the role of Ariel since she is not white.

3. However, some fans clearly said “It’s not about racism” but they want to see the white girl with red head since Ariel is not black in past movies:

Sadly, there are very few who supports the Disney Official decision of making Halle Bailey as Ariel in live-show reimagining movie:

After getting majority of harsh and racist comments regarding the choice of Halle Bailey for Ariel role will change the Disney production team mind or not? Only time will this.

However, production is anticipated to begin in early 2020.

    Gotcha; never talk about white caracteristics cause that’s so offensive and racist.
    Really subjective and RACIST your conclusion. We just expected to watch a movie with the character as we knew her since all life. And then again that’s just the beginnin’ from the new ideology bullshit era.
