Mission Impossible (1996)

This is the first in the series: Mission impossible movies in order and was released in theatres on December 16th in 1996. The story follows Ethan Hunt, who has just graduated from MIT with a degree that would allow him to do anything he wants. However, he’s recruited by the CIA for a mission that turns out to be his first one with IMF or Impossible Mission Force.

Mission Impossible 2 (2000)

This is the second in the series: Mission Impossible movies in order released May 24th, 2000. The positive reviews indicated that the critics enjoyed it more than the predecessor. The story follows Ethan Hunt, who is now married to Kate, along with their newborn daughter. However, when they are all kidnapped by an organization known as the Syndicate, he must come back out of hiding to save them and stop this group from starting a nuclear war between China and the USA.

Mission Impossible III (2006)

Cast: Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Michelle Monaghan

This is the third in the series, released on May 22nd, 2006, to mostly favorable reviews from both critics and audiences alike that praised its acting performances but criticized it for being too similar to the previous two. The story follows Ethan Hunt, who is still mourning his wife Julia’s death while on a mission in Shanghai, China. He then finds out that he has a protégé of sorts by Lindsey Farris, which causes him some degree of discomfort since she was also involved with Julia’s death.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011)

Cast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg

This is the fourth in the series, which was released on December 16th, 2011. The story follows Ethan Hunt, who the IMF has fired after a bombing of the Kremlin that he is framed for. However, it turns out that there’s a mole within IMF who will stop at nothing to start World War III by launching several nuclear missiles under his command into major cities across the USA and Russia before being stopped by Hunt after having escaped prison with some help from his team members.

Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation (2015)

Writer: Drew Pearce, Christopher McQuarrie, Bruce Geller

Cast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg

This is the fifth in the series Mission impossible movies in order to watch in USA, which was released on July 31st 2015. The story follows Ethan Hunt, who has to go up against the Syndicate once again after they take IMF agent Alan Hunley hostage and capture his team members except for Benji and Luther since they needed to help him stop this organization before it’s too late.

Mission Impossible Fall Out (2018)

Cast: Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg

This Mission: Impossible – Fallout Netflix is the sixth in the series, which got released on July 27th, 2018. This installment follows IMF Agent Walker, who was introduced in Ghost Protocol but has now gone rogue after Hunt left her handcuffed to a sink while he went after Solomon Lane. When she manages to break free, it’s not long before the rest of the IMF is compromised, and Ethan Hunt finds himself having to take down his protégée to save the world once again from a sinister plot that could have dire consequences for everyone.

Mission Impossible 7 (2022)

Cast: Rebecca Ferguson, Indira Varma, Tom Cruise

This is the seventh entry in running Mission Impossible. The movie will be released on September 30th, 2022, with not much information on the plot.
