After Zimbabwe stunned Pakistan, Amir tweeted, “It’s time to get rid of the PCB’s chairman.”

The Pakistani fast bowler, Mohammad Amir, didn’t pull any punches when he wrote a harshly worded tweet directed at Ramiz Raja after his team’s T20 World Cup loss to Zimbabwe by one run. The statement was in response to the team’s loss.

On Thursday, at the T20 World Cup, Zimbabwe triumphed against Pakistan with a superhuman effort, winning the match by one run.

Bowlers for Zimbabwe scored early strikes, removing in-form openers Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan cheaply, and rattled through the middle order to enable the team record a thrilling win in Perth.

The match’s final score was 131 runs. Pakistan’s ambitions for qualifying for the semi-finals of the event have suffered a significant damage as a result of their team’s recent string of defeats in the competition, the first of which occurred against India the previous Sunday. If you haven’t been following the world cup, here’s how you can enjoy watching matches like this from the Twenty20 World Cup 2022 with your loved ones.

In spite of the fact that they were considered one of the favourites coming into the competition, Pakistan will most likely need to win all of their remaining games in addition to relying on favourable results from the other teams in their group in order to advance to the semifinals.

Fans from Pakistan have every right to be dissatisfied with their team’s performance, and the cricketers themselves haven’t tried to disguise their disappointment in recent matches.

Furthermore, M.Amir, the star pacer for Pakistan who has played for the team in all three formats in the past, took to Twitter after the defeat to Zimbabwe to voice his displeasure with the selection process overseen by Ramiz Raja, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board, and Muhammad Wasim, chief selector for the PCB and leaving a tweet saying:

“From day one I said poor selection ab is cheez ki responsibility kon le ga I think it’s time to get rid of so called chairman jo PCB ka khuda bana hua hai and so called chief selector. (From day one, I said it’s a poor selection. Who will take the responsibility? I think it’s time to get rid of the so-called PCB chairman who thinks he is the god, as well as the so-called chief selector),”

However, Amir had made a scathing statement about the effect of “cheap selector ka cheap selection”  when Pakistan’s squad for the Twenty20 World Cup was released. This was to indicate his severe unhappiness with the guys that were selected for the 15-member team.

The remaining matches for Pakistan are against the Netherlands on October 30, South Africa on November 3, and Bangladesh on November 6.

The team now sits in fifth place in the points rankings for Group 2, behind the Bangladesh and only ahead of Netherlands because they have a higher Net Run Rate. India, however, is now in first place in the group with four points, followed by South Africa with 3, Zimbabwe with 3, and Bangladesh with 3.2 points.

ICC t20 group to score sheet

After the team’s dismal performance against Zimbabwe, these moments are pitiful and gut-wrenching for all Pakistani supporters.
