The makers of American Dad have announced that Season 18 of the show will release on March 27. The announcement was made when a new trailer for the show was released.
Sharing the trailer on the American Dad’s official Twitter, they said:

“Stan Smith leads the all-American family in this animated sitcom filled with wild and crazy extremes. Everyday life is taken to the limit as Stan applies the same drastic measures used in his job at the CIA to his home life. Driven by machismo and the American dream, he is often blind to how horribly he fails at his attempts,” the TBS program guide synopsis of American Dad reads.
It further adds: “This father may not know best but he never stops trying! Starring Seth MacFarlane (Stan Smith, Roger), Wendy Schaal (Francine Smith), Rachael MacFarlane (Hayley Smith), Scott Grimes (Steve Smith), Dee Bradley Baker (Klaus).”
Given the changes at Warner Bros. Discovery, fans have been worried about the future of American Dad, and the release date of Season 20 (This is currently referred to as Season 18 owing to the manner it has been structured on Hulu, combining the previous seasons) has also been a mystery. This new season was already confirmed as part of an agreement that extended it for two more seasons back in 2021, and it is now officially on its way.

While fans have been worried about watching the show online since it was announced that American Dad will be leaving Hulu sometime in the near future, they have heaved a sigh of temporary relief since no real movement has been made on the decision up till now. Fans are currently able to stream 15 episodes of Season 17 on Hulu. However, a streaming platform or delayed streaming date for the 18th season of the show has not been announced and fans will only be able to watch it on TBS when it premiers on Monday, March 27.
