Affleck has previously stated that he will retire from the role of Batman in 2019 and has been honest about the emotional and professional challenges that come with it. So, it was a pleasant surprise two years back when it was revealed that Ben Affleck will be suiting up once more for The Flash, a movie with Ezra Miller that will be released on June 23, 2023, and that will also feature Michael Keaton as Batman.

It was believed that Affleck’s last performance in the Batman role would be with The Flash, but now it seems he will be back on screens before that, with the Lost Kingdom. No words have been said yet on how big Affleck’s role will be in the next Aquaman movie, set to release on March 17, 2023.

Fans are excited to see Affleck’s participation in the next Aquaman movie. Momoa is returning as the titular character Arthur Curry, a waterlogged hero, James Wan is back as the filmmaker and the script is written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

Affleck featured Batman in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, Suicide Squad, and Justice League. At one stage he decided to direct and star in The Batman before calling it quits for the role.

Affleck told some major media outlets in 2020: “I showed somebody the Batman script, they said, ‘I think the script is good. I also think you’ll drink yourself to death if you go through what you just went through again.’” Ultimately, The Batman by director Matt Reeves starred Robert Pattinson.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, meanwhile, hails from filmmaker James Wan. However. Plot details are not disclosed, but Amber Heard is back for more with Patrick Wilson, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Dolph Lundgren, Nicole Kidman, Randall Park, and others. Excitement is all over the DC fanbase with two of the most loved actors are going to share the screen in the second edition of the Aquaman franchise.
