Freeform’s hit drama series “Good Trouble” is returning with its fifth season, and a new teaser video offers a glimpse into the upcoming episodes. The show left fans on the edge of their seats with a dramatic cliffhanger in the fourth season.
The teaser features returning cast members, including Maia Mitchell as Callie who returns to the Coterie after moving to Washington, D.C., to pursue a job at the ACLU, and sees the group rallying around their injured friend in the hospital. As they wait for news on the victim’s condition, tensions run high, and viewers are left wondering who will make it out alive.
The fifth season of “Good Trouble” will pick up from the season four finale, which saw Mariana (Cierra Ramirez) trying to save Joaquin’s sister from a strange farm community, putting their lives at risk. It is revealed in the teaser that the Coterie residents are still recovering from the tragic incident.
A voice echoes, “Someone that you care about got shot,” as various well-known individuals, most notably Maia Mitchell (Callie), return to the Coterie in the wake of the tragedy.
“Good Trouble” has also brought back fan-favorite characters Stef Foster (Teri Polo) and Lena Adams (Sherri Michelle Saum) from its predecessor series, “The Fosters.”
In the teaser, Gael is saying, “I don’t know what to say,” as the friends assemble around their kitchen table and Davia inquires, “Do you think they’re going to make it?”
The biggest question on everyone’s mind is: who got shot as a gunshot was fired, leaving the audience in suspense.
