As per the most recent information on the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard case, Heard could be sanctioned by the court. Here is why – It is pretty evident that Amber Heard is willing to go to any lengths to bring down Johnny Depp.

She has also brought forward private emails to put pressure on Depp, which has created doubt in the court. It is, of course, undeniable that Heard is trying everything to defend herself in this defamation case against her ex-husband.

To recall the initial events of the case, Depp started proceedings against Heard for penning a column in Washington Post’s Op-ed indirectly blaming him for domestic abuse, causing fear for her life. She also called Depp violent and recently made a third request to revoke the trial. The post was titled, I spoke up against sexual violence – and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change.

As per Radar Online, the court granted leave to Heard to alter her latest request to end the lawsuit against Depp. Judge Penny S. Azcarate has demanded a 25-page filing to accept from Heard to accept her request.

The 25-page filing is to be presented to the court before the 14th of June, 2021. However, the magistrate has seriously warned Heard that if it is found that she has been involved in wasting the court’s time with false allegations, there would be severe consequences, and she would also have to pay penalties. This statement was earnestly made by the magistrate, scolding Heard.

Azcarate also stated on the Friday trial that this third attempt to dismiss the case would most probably come out to be “useless”. The next hearing is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of July.

Neither of the two, Depp or Heard, were present in court for the hearing, but Friday’s hearing seems like a massive victory for Depp and his legal team.

Back in 2019 when the case began, Depp’s lawyer stated that the post by Heard was an “abuse of the #MeToo movement and that Heard masquerades as victim rather than abuser.”

Furthermore, Depp’s lawsuit claims that Heard’s allegations are “Categorically and demonstrably false. They were part of an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity for Ms. Heard and advance her career,” the filing says; claiming that “she is the perpetrator.”
