Madonna is one of those stars, who have marked their place in the world, no matter who comes and goes from the music industry, Madonna is one name that reached the highest level of fame and recognition.

According to BBC Corp’s CMCSA.O Universal Pictures, pop music superstar Madonna will direct and co-write a movie about her life and musical journey. She will be co-writing with Diablo Cody, who is one of the finest in the industry especially famous for Oscar-winning “Juno”.

Today 62, Madonna has ruled over the music industry for almost 5 decades, she is also the best selling female musician with worldwide sales of 335 million records. The “Material Girl” and “Express Yourself” are her widely popular songs, which play on the radio to date.

She has also acted in movies such as “Evita” and “A League of Their Own” and directed and wrote the 2011 film “W./E.”

Madonna said in a statement,

“I want to convey the incredible journey that life has taken me on as an artist, a musician, a dancer – a human being, trying to make her way in this world. The movie’s focus “will always be music”, music has kept me going and art has kept me alive. There are so many untold and inspiring stories and who better to tell it than me.”

The storyline is expected to show her rise from Michigan, to the slums of New York City, to global superstardom through songs such as Like A Virgin and Vogue.

The superstar is very much interested in being involved in the scrip as previously when Universal studio brought in a script on her life, it sparked her and got her very angry. Madonna wants the story to be very much factual and as real as possible, this is one reason why she is co-writing it.

As of now, no casting or production time has been announced.
