Marvel Releases List of Films to Watch Ahead of ‘Hawkeye’ Finale

Want to enjoy the ultimate watching experience of Hawkeye Finale? Check out these movies before the final episode of Marvel’s recent massive hit.

Hawkeye has become a fan favorite for Marvel fanatics during the last four weeks, introducing Christmas joy, exhilarating villains like Echo, a game-changing new villain, surprising partnerships, and an engrossing rollercoaster of changing events along the way.

Prior to tomorrow’s final episode of the series, the official Hawkeye Twitter account released a “what to watch” list containing past MCU titles. The list is in chronological order, which includes Thor, The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Endgame, Black Widow, and the initial five episodes of Hawkeye. The Hawkeye series available on Disney Plus has featured several of these movies since the premiere of the show on November 24, 2021, and as we know, Hawkeye, inspired by Die Hard that premiered as a holiday special.

The collection also features the Marvel’s Legends series, which is intended to be a recap of several superheroes and villains featured during the MCU: episode 9 includes Black Widow, while the 14th episode is about Hawkeye. Marvel normally throws all of its huge reveals as end-of-episode surprises as seen in all Marvel movies in order, so this is a unique display of generosity.

Marvel’s alternate universe, an animated series What If…?, is also presented; however, none of these titles are featured in the suggested list. Marvel’s Daredevil is also missing from the list, which would be a relevant title for fans of the new series who don’t have a knowledge of Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio), the new Tracksuit Mafia villain revealed to be collaborating with Kate Bishop’s (Hailee Steinfeld) mother, Eleanor Bishop (Vera Farmiga) at the end of the second last episode. However, a reason for this may be the presence of Daredevil on Netflix that is not logically considered a part of the MCU. Considering that D’Onofrio has several fans questioning how Daredevil’s canon will feature in the MCU or if this account of Kingpin will have a different prolog as compared to the one on the Netflix series.

Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, is featured in most of the films on Marvel’s “what to watch” suggestion list excluding Black Widow. However, Black Widow discovers Yelena Belova’s (Florence Pugh) backstory, and Pugh will potentially be a major feature in Hawkeye’s finale. Although it’s not mandatory to watch these complete films before Hawkeye’s finale airing tomorrow, many fans can break the Easter eggs watching these titles that could possibly feature in the new series. With several notions flying around, and all of Hawkeye’s jigsaw taking a definite shape, the enthralling conclusion could be filled with several possible outcomes.

The “what to watch” suggestion list is as under:

Hawkeye’s cast includes Jeremy Renner, Vera Farmiga, Hailee Steinfeld, Fra Fee, Tony Dalton, Florence Pugh, Alaqua Cox, Zahn McClarnon, Brian d’Arcy, and Vincent D’Onofrio. The finale will be aired exclusively on Disney Plus on December 22, 2021. and before that, you can definitely watch MCU on Disney Plus. Furthermore, you can also enjoy the first five episodes as well as every title on Hawkeye’s watch list shared on Twitter.

If you are a Marvel fan, we are sure you haven’t missed any single episode of the stellar series. However, if you are new to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and want to jump on the Hawkeye bandwagon, we recommend you get an idea of the titles shared in the “what to watch” list as well as the first five episodes of the Hawkeye series.
