Movie Theatres Offering Cinema Tickets for $3 to Celebrate National Cinema Day

Granting summer 2022 one last hurrah, The Cinema Foundation has decided to celebrate the first-of-its-kind National Cinema Day by offering $3 on every ticket that’s bought on September 3rd. The offer is applicable for all the movies at any given showtime and, most of all, on all formats.

National Cinema Day will be a one-day event across the country, which includes the participation of over 3,000 theaters and 30,000 screens. The promotions will also include special in-theater features, along with exclusive previews from various production houses and distributors.

Most of the Hollywood Studios will be a part of celebrating National Cinema Day: Amazon Studios, A24, Disney, Lionsgate, Focus Features, Sony Pictures Classics, Neon, Sony, Paramount, Universal, Warner Bros., and United Artist Releasing.

The list also has some of the biggest theaters as well, such as Regal Cinemas and AMC.

AMC Theaters announced a $5 combo that includes popcorn and fountain soda. Check it out right here:

Regal Movies also shared the National Cinema Day news, prompting audience to head over to the Regal nearest cinemas:

President Jackie Brenneman of The Cinema Foundation issued a statement in terms of National Cinema Day:

“After this summer’s record-breaking return to cinemas, we wanted to do something to celebrate moviegoing. We’re doing it by offering a ‘thank you’ to the moviegoers that made this summer happen, and by offering an extra enticement for those who haven’t made it back yet.”

Moviegoers are surely ecstatic about celebrating National Cinema Day:

This huge deal can benefit the box office significantly, which is exactly what the box office needs right now after last weekend giving one of the lowest weekend grosses of up to $54 million. However, not everything is a complete mess at the box office, at least.

Do let us know which movies you’ll be rewatching on September 3rd with this bombastic deal!

Top Gun: Maverick should be credited for earning the most bucks for the box office by grossing over $691 million domestically and $1.4 billion worldwide prior to its VOD release.

Other films that contributed to the highest-grossing movies over the summer were part of franchises such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness with its $411 million domestically, Jurassic World Dominion with $364 domestically, and Minion: The Rise of Gru with $354 domestically, respectively.

Some original movies also performed adequately at the box office. By earning $147 million domestically, there’s Elvis, and then with a $117 million, Nope.

You’ll get to watch Spider-Man: No Way Home, The More Fun Stuff Version, or Top Gun: Maverick once more, or you can always buy them on VOD. However, you can also watch the newest releases, such as Honk for Jesus. Save Your Soul or Breaking; the choice is all yours. Be sure to get your tickets and clear your schedule for September 3rd.

Check out whether your nearest theater is participating in offering this amazing deal or not by visiting National Cinema Day’s website. You can also keep an eye out on various theater chains offering more combo deals along with the tickets on their social media accounts.
