New “Stranger Things 4” Poster Reveals the Epic Final Battle

ST 4 vol 2 poster

Once more, it’s Stranger Things week! The final two episodes of Season 4 are at an all-time high as Volume 2 of the season releases on Friday. Netflix has revealed a brand-new poster for Volume 2.

The first official poster for the new series showed Eleven facing off against the evil Vecna in a long-awaited confrontation. Could this mean that Eleven will finally face her own personal and actual demon?

The poster depicts the century’s greatest showdown. Like they’re on a vintage boxing poster, Vecna and Eleven Millie Bobby Brown are passionately staring at one another,  while The Upside Down’s ominous reds and blues loom all around them.

The remaining beloved characters, such as Max, Lucas, Mike, Dustin, Will, Argyle, Jonathan, and Erica, are divided between the archenemies. On the opposite side are Nancy, Steve, Eddie, and Robin riding bikes, which is similar to a shot from Volume 1.

Right beside Nancy and company riding bikes, Dennis Hopper is battling a Demogorgon from the Russian prison while Joyce and Murray stand nearby. They are also surrounded by the eerie Creel House in the poster.

Overall, the latest Stranger Things poster is a beautiful addition to the series’ lengthy history of outstanding posters. The hovering clock from the Creel House is a great addition that serves as a warning that time is running out for some of the main characters in the town of Winona Ryder character’s life.

Even though the majority of the events shown in the image have already happened in Volume 1, the poster does a superb job of reinforcing the darker tone of this season and provides an epically horrific glimpse at the conflict that lies ahead. Seeing Vecna and Eleven face to face is terrifying.

Volume 1’s cliffhanger ending left fans with a lot of unanswered questions and theories. For instance, did Eleven create The Upside Down, when she sent Vecna there, or was that the first time the gate had been opened? Additionally, it gave us the unsettling impression that characters like Steve and Eddie might not make it out of this season.

Season 4 Volume 1 has done a great job of answering long-standing questions, and fans are expecting the same from Volume 2. However, if this new creepy poster is any indication, the final two feature-length episodes of Season 4 may leave us all in a state of emotional chaos. Moreover, last week, the streaming service also released an epic new trailer for the show.

The Duffer Brothers and the cast have hinted at a lot of sadness in these final episodes, and it’s pretty obvious that this is going to be the last one for the series. Likewise, Shawn Levy previously talked about the dark setting of season 4 ahead of the volume two release.

“I don’t really want to say, but I would be concerned about the characters going into Volume 2, for sure,” said Ross Duffer. “I hope that that is sort of the sense because it is a darker season and the kids are no longer kids. And there’s sort of an ominous feeling that things might not go well. Now, whether they do or not, you’ll have to watch.

It will be interesting to see if this suggests that Eleven isn’t completely safe. But it seems that she will face her most difficult challenge when it comes to battling Vecna.

Netflix premieres Stranger Things Season 4 Volume 2 on July 1, 2022. View the brand-new “battle night” poster as we wait for Vecna’s titanic showdown with Eleven and fear his reappearance in our nightmares.

Stranger Things casts Milly Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Joe Keery, Natalia Dyer, Maya Hawke, Joseph Quinn, and Jamie Campbell Bower.

The series was created by the Duffer Brothers, who also worked with Shawn Levy, Dan Cohen, Iain Paterson, and Curtis Gwinn to produce Season 4.
