Fans “feeling YOU-4-ic” As Production of You Season 4 Begins!

Netflix’s most popular psychological thriller series, You, was one of the highly anticipated shows of the year. With new seasons getting confirmed, the fans just lined up comments on Netflix’s IG and Twitter handles about the deets of the upcoming seasons. Netflix took its sweet time but did not disappoint.

You became one of the most-loved shows shortly after its release knocking off Squid Game, that ranked on the top.

@younetflix took to Instagram and Twitter and broke the news of the production of season 4. It was an image slate of a clapperboard with the caption “Feeling YOU-4-ic. YOU Season 4 is now in production,” Out of the many happy comments, one particular comment was from Ambyr Childers who played Candice in 2 seasons of You which simply read “Congratulations!!! ❤️.”

Interestingly the clapperboard also teased us the ongoing episodes of the show, the director John Scott and had a stylish “bloody knife” styled graphic.

The oh-so-dreamy Penn Badgley returns for another powerful season as Joe Goldberg and fans just love it! The showrunner Sera Gable commented, “It’s been thrilling to watch Penn bring Joe to creepy yet compelling life.” In the past seasons, we saw how Joe’s “creepy stalking” and “crazy love” compelled him to find love, even if it means wiping out the competition (literally!). Penn Badgley posted a selfie with a mask that read “Hello You” which only warmed up to the big reveal.

Back in October 2021, Netflix announced the renewal of season 4 of You, even before season 3 was released. Its colossal success on the Netflix charts was such that it got all the love and support from Netflix. The director also stated last year that “We’re deeply grateful that Netflix has shown You such monumental support and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe really get it all very wrong over the past three seasons.”

The director shared that “The whole You team is excited to explore new, dark facets of love in season 4.” Season 4 details are still in the works but one important detail is Lukas Gage, star of White Lotus, who has joined the You cast ensemble. This was confirmed after Netflix teased the fans with a picture of Gage and Badgley sharing “Lukas Gage is coming for You.”

They further shared that his character, Adam, would be “the warm, funny and hard-partying son of a wealthy family.” Such a character can be anticipated to be a bit of a failure in the eyes of his parents, but one sinister comment by Netflix, that ties well with the show’s theme, was “But the one thing he did learn from his parents is to do whatever it takes to get what you want.”

With Lucas Gage joining the cast, season 4 is only going to get hotter. After the clapperboard picture, we should be expecting the cast to tease some details on their social handles. Stay tuned for more updates on the plot and release date of Netflix’s You Season 4.
