Sandra Bullock has been a household name in Hollywood when it comes to acting. She’s capable of doing wonders with her acting skills, and she has been doing this for so long that we often forget that she’s an acting powerhouse. Such is the benchmark set by her that The Blind Side; her Academy Award-winning title isn’t even the shadow of her best-ever performances in the past.
The presence of the iconic film star has been somewhat lacking from the mainstream media since she dominated the cultural conversation and Netflix’s most-watched list with Bird Box. And as the early reactions suggest, she’s all set to conquer the big screen again with her new title, The Unforgivable, continuing her connotation with the streamer.
Earlier in 2018, Sandra Bullock and Netflix joined hands for a film that swept away the record book for the streaming platform. An instant hit, Bird Box became the most-watched Netflix Original movie, a feat that was only recently achieved by Red Notice on Netflix. Bullock’s latest film since mega-hit Bird Box premiered this weekend, and it’s another potential Netflix original that will become the talk of the town and has already been making waves with audiences everywhere.

The Unforgivable features Bullock as an imprisoned murderer who has been recently released from custody and uses her brand-new freedom to try and reach her little sister she left behind. The plot may be lifelike and penetrating, but it’s Bullock’s justice to the role that is compelling people to check it out on Netflix. Sunday’s edition of the recurring Netflix Top 10 chart ranked the new movie at the number one spot just after a couple of days of its release.

Netflix’s Top 10 ranking seems a curious response when you contemplate that The Unforgivable hasn’t been able to impress the critics at all with a meek Rotten Tomatoes score of 33%. Bullock’s performance is singled out as a highlight, nonetheless, but it’s back to the effervescent business after this for the legendary actress, who has The Lost City of D (a romantic action comedy) with Channing Tatum, a little feature in Deadpool 2 as Brad Pitt’s trainer, and David Leitch’s Bullet Train line up ahead.
