Venom 3 is all set to star Tom Hardy in its third installment. The star confirmed the first draft of the script is ready.
Thanks to the huge success of Sony’s Venom franchise, Tom Hardy teased the third movie on Instagram, and it looks like a script is in the works.
On Thursday, Venom star Tom Hardy shared on his Instagram the cover page of Venom 3’s script. Although the third movie’s title is yet to be unveiled, in the shared image it is replaced by a black box depicting a hand-drawn Symbiote sticking out its tongue from its fanged mouth.
The red color may not have been any sort of indication of guest appearances on the show. However, fans have been speculating that perhaps Venom will be crossing paths with a certain friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
Some fans even went as far as to study the supposedly “S-shaped” tongue of Symbiote and see it as a potential hint for a crossover with Spider-Man. Perhaps, we will get to see the events of Venom: The End (#1) unfold in the third movie.
The image confirms one thing for sure: Hardy will be once again working together with writer Kelly Marcel for the story, and the latter will be penning down the screenplay. The two collaborated previously for Venom 2, which earned $502 million globally during the pandemic last year. The duo also served as producers for the movie.

The first Venom film had to jump through hoops in order to wrap up the development stage. The movie was directed by Ruben Fleischer and released in 2018. Despite the not-so-favorable reviews from critics, the movie became an instant hit at the box office. Eventually, a sequel was announced soon enough to please the comic book fanatics of the movie.
The sequel was released in 2021 titled Venom: Let There Be Carnage, directed by Serkis. It managed to gain positive reviews from the critics. Venom also made a guest appearance in the post-credits scene of Spider-Man: No Way Home as he was transported into the MCU.
