From the Small Screen to the Kitchen: Coronation Street and Love Island Stars Join "Cooking With The Stars"

Coronation Street’s Samia Longchambon and Love Island’s Indiyah Polack have been announced as part of the lineup for the third season of ITV’s Cooking With The Stars.

The line-up consists of eight stars, the rest of which are actor Jason Watkins, Joanna Page from Gavin & Stacey, former professional boxer Chris Eubank, singer Peter Andre, Matt Willis from Busted, and Claire Richards from Steps.

The television series sees famous personalities get teamed up with skilled chefs who serve as their primary mentors. Each episode showcases a high-pressure cooking competition that tests the participants’ skills and knowledge.

The losing contestant from the main event then has to fight for their survival in the contest by taking part in a cook-off challenge. This cook-off serves as a last chance for the competitors to redeem themselves and showcase their culinary abilities. So, viewers can expect a thrilling cooking showdown in each episode, where the stakes are high, and the tension is palpable.

“Filming Cooking with the Stars is always a highlight for me as not only do Tom and I have lots of fun, but we also get to try some phenomenal food,” said Emma Willis, who co-hosts the show with Tom Allen.

She added: “We have a great cast this season, who will no doubt be feeling the pressure as they head into the kitchen. We’ve seen blood, sweat and tears on previous series, and I’m sure this series will be no exception.

Allen seemed equally excited about the lineup: “A whole lot of great food, celebs reaching boiling point plus Emma Willis and me holding court – sounds like my dream party.”

“I am so excited to be bringing back to your screens the glitziest competitive cooking show in the world,” he added.

This season, the culinary world’s most prominent personalities are stepping up to guide the celebrity contestants. Rosemary Shrager, a British chef and TV presenter, will take on the role of Peter Andre’s chief mentor, while Chef director Jack Stein will team up with Chris Eubank to guide him through the kitchen. Jean-Christophe Novelli, a Michelin-starred French chef, will be mentoring Samia Longchambon, and Claire Richards will be guided by Scottish chef and restaurateur Tony Singh MBE.

Additionally, Michael Caines MBE, an executive chef with a Michelin star, will be partnering with Joanna Page, and Shelina Permalloo, a restaurateur and cookery author, will be coaching Matt Willis. April Jackson, a chef, and restaurateur, will be training Jason Watkins, and Indiyah Polack will receive guidance from award-winning chef Ellis Barrie. With such an impressive lineup of mentor chefs, the competition promises to be intense and exciting.
