Disneyland Paris made an announcement on Tuesday that the popular cartoon character, Minnie Mouse will don her “First Ultrachic Pantsuit,” designed by the designer Stella McCartney, at its property in Paris.
Official Twitter account of Disneyland Paris revealed the first look of the dress:

As it can be seen in the picture above, the new outfit is a pantsuit presenting “a new take on her signature polka dots,” in dark blue, and the mandatory matching bow.
Starting March 6, Minnie will display her new attire at Walt Disney Studios Park, one of a couple of theme parks, to credit the importance of Women’s History Month.
It’s one of the presumed “dazzling details” to mark the 30th anniversary of the leisure resort. There’s no doubt that Minnie’s new outfit is stylish, among many other dazzling outfits in her wardrobe, but not everyone is liking it, especially the activist; Candace Owens.
Fox News invited Owens, and Jesse Watters, the anchor of the show started the segment by stating, Disneyland is “totally changing Minnie Mouse.”
However, as confirmed to Yahoo Entertainment by a spokesperson of Disney Parks, Minnie’s pantsuit is “a limited-time offering.”
Owens expressed that Disney is “making [Minnie] more masculine,” and she blatantly disapproved of the outfit.
“This is why people don’t take these people seriously,” Owens stated. “They’re taking all of these things that nobody was offended by. It’s like they have to get rid of them and destroy them because they’re bored. You know, they’re absolutely bored. They’re trying to destroy fabrics of our society, pretending that there’s issues.”
She submitted that such a modification is a bid to detract attention from significant issues.
“So, everybody looks over here,” Owens added. “Look at Minnie Mouse! Don’t look at inflation, Jesse. Look at Minnie Mouse! The world is going forward because you’ve got her in a pantsuit. Never mind that you can’t get anything at the grocery store and you can’t buy a piece of bacon unless you’ve got $30 in your pocket. At least we’re addressing the real problem, which is Minnie Mouse.”
The discussion also ignited a debate on Twitter, where “Minnie Mouse” became a hot trend on Thursday.
People highlighted that Minnie has donned multiple outfits over the years, including pants, and rightly so.
As a matter of fact, as shown in a promotional video aired by the recreational park, Minnie, along with Mickey, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and other characters can be seen in a fashion show, showing off the other new ensembles that they’ll wear for the big event.
The video also reveals Minnie wearing a shimmering pink dress. You can watch all episodes of Minnie & Mickey mouse on Disney Plus from anywhere.
Some other fans set the backlash side by side with an announcement made last week, from Mars Wrigley, a candymaker, stating that M&M’s mascots have received a permanent overhaul, a “fresh, modern take” on their personalities and appearances.
Especially the female sugar candies, now simply referred to as Brown and Green, got a new pair of shoes. Brown now wears shortened high-heels than she did in the past, whereas Green now has sneakers instead of high-heeled boots.
Here are some of the responses from the Twitterers:
Latisha Jones (@leticia_creates) said that it’s just an adorable cartoon in the new dress.
Oh look, there’s Minnie Mouse in pants. Somehow, not destroying the fabric of society. Just being an adorable cartoon mouse, as one does. pic.twitter.com/yESXRzsvNi

Whereas, Sir Simon A (@BabyLamb5) expressed that the “news is overreacting and acting like she ain’t gonna wear her dress no more.”
Minnie Mouse is trending on Twitter because she’s wearing a pantsuit as part of a Disneyland Paris promotion and the news is overreacting and acting like she ain’t gonna wear her dress no more.
Bruh, this literally ain’t the first time. Plus, she looks really good in a pantsuit. pic.twitter.com/R4cbkE2zXw

I’m confused. So according to Candace Owens, who raises hell every time @iamcardib drops a music video, real women are too sexy these days but cartoon Minnie Mouse isn’t sexy enough anymore? And this is destroying the fabric of our society? Seriously? https://t.co/99fsbagM93

The green M&M got sneakers, Minnie Mouse got a pantsuit, so is someone going to help poor Winnie the Pooh out and get the dude some pants?

It’s evident that fans are supporting the latest outfit of Minnie while criticizing Candace Owens for overreacting and stirring controversy. We all know that Minnie is an anime diva and owns a versatile wardrobe, and no matter what she wears, she just ‘nails it’ perfectly.
