Taylor Swift Becomes First Woman in History To Win Album of The Year Grammy.

Only four entertainers have won the album of the year grammy thrice, 3 of them being men while Taylor Swift is the only woman in the league! The singer has created a massive fan following over the years, through controversies and whatnot, but today we see her standing strong with commendable achievements!

This Sunday on the 63rd Grammy awards Taylor swift scored and an Album of the year Grammy which is one of the most prestigious awards one can get in the industry. This time Swift won for “Folklore” while in 2010 she won for “Fearless” and “1989” in 2016. She was the youngest artist ever to get the award, however, Billie Eilish has now taken her place at the age of 18.

The album “Folklore” was much of a surprise as nothing about it had previously been promoted, especially considering the quarantine and Covid-19 situation, the album, and its songs do outperform what can be expected during these times! This is her 8th album and it looks like more great music is to come from the highly skilled entertainer.

It’s not like Taylor Swift has had an easy competition, she has won against some of the industry’s most prominent artists such as Jhené Aiko, Black Pumas, Coldplay, Jacob Collier, HAIM, Dua Lipa and Post Malone for the award.

Taylor did not forget the support her collaborators provided and thanked  Jack Antonoff, Aaron Dessner, Laura Sisk and Jonathan Low in her speech.

Dessner worked with Taylor Swift from distance due to the Covid, added that she is one of the bestest songwriters in the world and was very thank full that she had put her trust in him.

Swift also performed some of her best and most popular songs live at the event including “Cardigan,” “August” and “Willow.”

Evermore” is a sequel to her album which was released in December, which means it can qualify for the Grammy nomination next year.At the Los Angeles Convention Centre, Trevor Noah conducted the Grammy Awards on the other side of the street from the normal location of the award show. There was no live audience for the Grammys this year, like there was for other award shows held during the pandemic, except for a small number of performers and nominees.
