After its initial release at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) on September 8, 2023, Laapaata Ladies has made it to the big cinema screen.
Making its second debut on 1 March 2024, the film has become a huge box-office success. The film made a whopping ₹75 lakh business on the first day. While most movies experience a sales decline with each passing day, Laapaata Ladies is not one of them!
On its second day, this comedy-drama film attracted a huge audience that gave them a business of ₹1.45 crore. As the recent stats are rolling in, it is crystal clear that Laapaata Ladies have no plan of slowing down!
On the first weekend (3rd and 4th day) after release, the film saw a sales surge of ₹3.75 crore. After compiling all the nig numbers, the final box office earning amount has come up to ₹20.49 crore in India only.
If we sum up the total business from all across the globe, the film has made off-the-chart sales with ₹21.65 crore.
However, the storyline and cinematography are not the only things causing a stir in the Bollywood industry. The music and composition have also arrested the audience with its hit-on-repeat tones.
The song “Doubtwa,” performed by Sukhwinder Sing, is trending on YouTube with 4,459,824 views. Keeping in tune with the film’s genre, it humorously expresses doubt and curiosity about a mischievous lady’s actions, suggesting she is up to cause chaos or trouble.
Another song “Sajni,” sung by Arijit Singh, has been a special favorite of Bollywood music lovers. This song has received a remarkable 5.6 million views within two months of its release.
