Keanu Reeves Confirms Meeting Marvel Boss Kevin Feige; Hints A Reeves Marvel Movie

Keanu Reeves Confirms He Has Met With Marvel Boss Kevin Feige

Keanu Reeves Endorses His Meeting With Marvel Boss Kevin Feige.

There was ongoing speculation and several rumors surrounding Keanu Reeves and the possibility of him joining the franchise, and how Keanu reacted to rumors of joining the MCU. The iconic action hero is famously known for DC’s Constantine and The Matrix franchise, but now he has hinted he could jump from virtual reality to Marvel’s universe stating it would “be an honor” to work for the MCU.

That’s an unusual exhibition of generosity from Marvel, as it usually throws all its big reveals as end-of-episode surprises as seen in all Marvel movies in order.

Although Reeves hasn’t been featured in any of 27 MCU titles, we can possibly see him appearing in the upcoming film Moon Knight or in the Spider-Man franchise as Kraven the Hunter; a Spider-Man villain.

In 2019, Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios also revealed his desire to cast Reeves for a role in Marvel Cinematic Universe stating, ” We talk to him for almost every film we make. I don’t know when, if, or ever he’ll join the MCU, but we very much want to figure out the right way to do it.”

Keanu Reeves has confirmed himself about the ongoing negotiations with the president of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige to possibly join the MCU.

Reeves Joining Marvel

While appearing for an interview to promote the imminent premiere of The Matrix Resurrections, the John Wick star opened up about the ongoing dialogue with Marvel regarding him taking a role in the cinematic universe of Marvel.

This potentially brings him to reunite with his co-star Carrie-Anne Moss, who has appeared in Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, the Netflix series Daredevil, and the collaborative season The Defenders.

“We have met, and [Kevin Feige’s] a cool cat,” Reeves stated. “Yeah. But no, we don’t have anything, gotta find something.”

Unluckily, as of now, it looks like there aren’t any appropriate roles that fit the superstar to kick-off his portfolio in the MCU.

We can only presume if Reeves will unsurprisingly join Marvel’s universe, but it seems he will jump on the MCU bandwagon sooner rather than later. The actor has emphatically re-emerged into the Hollywood spotlight with a comeback through the John Wick franchise. Now, he’s making it a household title, revisiting Bill & Ted, and all set to amaze his fans with The Matrix Resurrections.

For the time being, Reeves is focused on his upcoming outing as Neo. In The Matrix Resurrections, the versatile actor returns with his iconic role from the long-quiescent franchise with mostly new faces featuring in the saga alongside him.

“I’m not great with advice,” he opened up about his relationship with the new Matrix co-stars. “So I just wanted to be supportive and available and open and just say, ‘Thank you for being here. And let’s make a film and let’s have fun doing it and do the best we can.’ Yeah. Yeah, I spoke to Laurence [Fishburne] a bit. Yeah. I think Yahya [Abdul-Mateen II] did an amazing version and his own Morpheus, and I think how Lana Wachowski wrote the role and what it can mean inside of it, just a sentient program. Anyway, I don’t want to give too much away. But I think it’s a very interesting, and in the film, delightful evolution of the story.”

The Matrix Resurrections will premiere in theaters and on HBO Max on December 22, 2021, and we urge you to watch Matrix movies on Hulu as a refresher. You’ll be surprised by the things you’ve forgotten about the franchise.

However, if you don’t like to go out during the Covid-19 pandemic then you can also watch Matrix 4 on HBO Max while staying at home.

We all are certain that Reeves would do justice to his role of Neo as he has repeatedly done in the past, but fans are eager to see him appearing for an MCU role.
