Adam Sandler has been producing films for Netflix since 2014, but his most recent production has brought him critical acclaim.
Hustle is a sports drama that debuted on June 3 and is one of the finest new movies to watch.
With a 91 percent Rotten Tomatoes rating and a 91 percent audience score, the movie is an audience favorite and a smashing hit already.
Oh, and according to Netflix’s main page, it’s the number one movie in the United States as of Thursday afternoon.
Sandler’s Netflix films have received mixed reviews, but they have a large following. That’s why, in 2020, Netflix renewed its pricey contract with Adam’s Happy Madison production banner to produce four new films.
The streaming service claimed at the time that users had watched his films for two billion hours, including Sandy Wexler, The Week Of, The Ridiculous 6, and Murder Mystery (Netflix’s most popular film of 2019).
Critics panned those films, with Hubie Halloween in 2020 receiving a 52 percent RT rating. Hustle, on the other hand, is receiving excellent reviews (albeit not nearly to the same extent as Sandler’s most recent theatrical production, Uncut Gems).
Hustle features basketball as the actor’s favorite sport. LeBron James is even credited as a co-producer. With such unanimous acceptance by the audience, the movie is going to be an amazing addition to the list of best movies on Netflix!
Sandler plays Stanley Sugerman, a scout for the Philadelphia 76ers who travels worldwide in search of the next big thing. Teresa (Queen Latifah) is concerned about his health. Stanley also aspires to be a coach, but for the time being, he’s stuck on the road.
His most recent journey leads him to Spain, where he meets Bo Cruz (the NBA’s Juancho Hernangómez), an unknown streetball player. Bo has a lot of talent, but he’s also a bit rough around the edges. Stanley decides to take a chance and train him in the hopes of turning him into a diamond capable of competing with the best NBA players.
The film Hustle tells the narrative of a sports underdog. It’s a buddy comedy, with the caustic scout and the melancholy baller pitted against one another.

Hustle has received a lot of great feedback. Here’s a sampling of what critics had to say:
According to Weekly’s Leah Greenblatt, it’s “satisfying in the way the best sports movies are: a scrappy tale of adversity and triumph, smartly told.”
AV Club’s Courtney says, “Though it follows a by-the-numbers plot, borrowing pages from the playbooks of The Air Up There and My Giant, its compelling character drive and exhilarating technical craftsmanship more than make up for its narrative familiarity.”
The Hollywood Reporter’s David Rooney says, “there’s a depth of feeling and a disarming sincerity to the movie that keeps you watching. Even the inevitable triumph seems refreshingly understated.”
Rotten Tomatoes has received more positive feedback from the audience. Rachel comments, “Such a great film. Super basketball. Terrific performances. Loved it!.”

It’s been just a week since Sandler’s latest movie Hustle is released, and it is already receiving unequivocal acclaim and approval from fans and critics!
Sandler proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that he’s not only one of the most talented American leading men of the last two decades—comedic or otherwise—but also one of the most accomplished flimflammers the film industry has ever seen.
