Hulu Makes a U-Turn, Beloved Show Buffy and Angel to Stay on the Streaming Service

It seems like Hulu has been doing the vampire shuffle lately, but fans of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and “Angel” can breathe a sigh of relief – it looks like these beloved series may not be leaving the streaming service after all. Fans recently noticed that both shows had an “expiring” label that showed how many days were left until the end of February.

All seven seasons of Buffy and all five seasons of its spinoff series, Angel, have been on the streaming site for a few years now, and fans have been tweeting about how sad they are that the series is going away.

But some fans noticed today that the tag was gone, and Hulu confirmed on Twitter that the shows would stay.

“@hulu_support Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel no longer shows the expiring tag. Does that mean it is not leaving Hulu?” @david84685268 asked. “Hey there! Even though Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended almost 20 years ago, it is still one of the most popular ever. But it’s no secret that Joss Whedon made a toxic move backstage, involving the actor who has been playing Cyborg in the DC universe.
