Scrubs fans can finally relax as the show’s creator Bill Lawrence has announced that a reunion project is in the works. In a recent interview with Variety, Lawrence revealed that he has already started working on the project and believes that it is “inevitable.”
It’s hard to believe that it’s been over a decade since the beloved medical drama Scrubs aired its final episode, yet the show continues to attract new viewers and retain its fan base. In an interview with Variety, Bill Lawrence joked about how the cast’s friendship might affect a possible reunion:
“I think it’s inevitable that it happens. The joke of it with us is the first time that six months go by that we don’t hang out, we’ll end up doing a Scrubs reunion.”
Since the show is still so well-liked and the stars are still clearly close, it seems only natural that there would eventually be some type of sequel. This planned output is still not guaranteed, though. Bill Lawrence, however, seems to be maintaining optimism despite this: “I hope to bring it back around. That’s part of the infectious vibe of some of our shows — that people end up sincerely enjoying each other and hanging out anyway.”

However, it’s most likely that the majority would favor a movie of some sort or even an additional season.
