Evan Evagora Confirms Filming of Star Trek Season 2 in January

Star Trek Season 2

Star Trek: The Picard star Evan Evagora announced that production would commence in January 2021 for the second season of the star trek series. This CBS All Access show is a spin-off continuation of Star Trek: The Next Generation, a wildly successful series that ran from 1987 to 1994. The show integrates older The Next Generation characters, but has also added some new characters to the plot. Evagora plays the character Elnor, a Romulan who was previously abandoned by the character Picard. On Star Trek: Picard.

Patrick Stewart was to start shooting in the summer of that year in this spinoff star Trek, as Jean-Luc Picard was to begin, however, as with most TV shows, Picardo has been postponed due to the pandemic of coronavirus. Since that time, there has been very little details on Star Trek: Picard season 2, whereas other Star Trek ventures such as the Lower Decks animated series have grown and manufactured.

In an interview with TrekMovie.com, Evagora clarified that in January he knows that the show will resume production. Evagora appears very excited to start shooting again, despite the confusion. He says how much his friends missed and how he couldn’t wait to see the cast and the crew. The quote from Evagora can be fully read below:

“Yeah, January we will be filming. I don’t know if they have posted the date. All I know is everyone’s saying January, January, January. So we’ll start season two there and in my opinion it cannot come quicker. I’m so excited, not just to get back to work, but to get back to the motley crew and hang out with everyone… in California.”

Evagora also stated in his interview that he had some ideas about how Star Trek could be better for Picard season 2. His greatest thought is to introduce the long-time friend of Patrick Stewart, Sir Ian McKellen. “This must happen. It must happen. If it’s a villain, a captain or something. He must be there,” says Evagora. The next generation character, like Geordi and Worf, he also said he would like to see cameos from other Star Treks. Evagora says that he thinks his Romulan character, Elnor, as an actor, has many narrational parallels with the Klingon character Worf because both provide the audience with insight into previously unfamiliar alien characters. In the coming seasons, Evagora hopes to explore further.
