The 2020 reboot of the 1993 WB classic Animaniacs on Hulu garnered a large fan following over the past couple of years. Since the reboot, the series has received widespread appreciation from both spectators and critics, with a solid 90% approval rating from Rotten Tomatoes critics. Here’s how you can catch up on Animaniacs Season 3 on Hulu from outside the US.
Audiences were shocked when the final episode of the series saw the Wacko, Yakko, and Dot presumably massacred by a falling asteroid. The scene was followed by a placeholder card simply stating, “Be safe, Sweeties.”
Fans had barely rallied from the announcement that the show had been canceled and that season 3, which began last month, would be the final when the last episode left them in complete horror.
After the announcement was made, a clip of the show went viral online where characters Wacko, Yakko and Dot are seen lamenting the final episode of their show. “We’re really all about to die,” Dot laments.

Animaniacs, originally an early 1990s cartoon, frequently ridiculed contemporary culture, and historical personalities, and stretched the bounds of standard cartoons at the time. The series starred the Warner brothers and a Warner Sister who lived in the Warner Brothers water tower. The show included several gags that amused both children and adults.
For many Animaniacs fans, the resurrection of the popular animated comedy series was cause for celebration, especially because the relaunch made no significant modifications to the concept and style of the show. It was loved for its signature irreverent, fourth-wall-breaking comedy.
The fact that the series was coming to an end was never in doubt, especially since Hulu originally only intended two seasons of the much-loved animated reboot but had extended it by a season because of popular demand for the beloved characters and their gimmicks. However, fans believed that there was a possibility for them to convince Hulu to sell the canceled show to someone else interested in rebooting it once more.
Sadly, the ending of the final episode dashed these hopes for fans who have since been expressing their displeasure online:

Some are simply in disbelief over how the showrunners decided to end their beloved show:
That’s how the reboot ends?

Fans of the well-liked Animaniacs revival were outraged when their program was canceled, but the much despised Scooby Doo spinoff “Velma” appeared to be surviving on HBO MAX, even though its showrunners have been landing in hot water over one faux pas or another.
Animation is getting treated like absolute shit. We got shows like the Animaniacs reboot ending at season 3 even though it has so much potential while shitshows like Velma are somehow not ending anytime soon.

Viewers are pointing out that Velma, which has a consistent 1.3 star and 40% rating on Rotten Tomatoes has no end in sight while shows that both critics and fans are enjoying keep getting canceled.
Exactly, with animaniacs it feels like they’re having fun with meta jokes. It feels like the warners are genuinely just trying to have a fun time. Meanwhile velma feels like it actively hates it’s existence. Even the show itself hates itself.

While the fan reaction is understandable, there are several reasons why these two programs should not be compared. For one, Animaniacs is a direct continuation of the 1990s series, bringing back favorite voice actors while making a few changes to the characters that many people grew up with. The series remained focused on a younger audience, but there was much for adult fans to enjoy as well.
Velma, on the other hand, was a whole new concept inspired by the Scooby-Doo series, aimed at adults, and radically transformed the characters and location from what had been a feature of Scooby-Doo cartoons for decades. Other than that, Animaniacs received a lot of love from both fans and reviewers, whilst Velma’s numbers have continued to plummet since it first aired.
