Hulu Brings a Hilarious Slasher Series “Wreck” to the US

Hulu Gets

Hulu has got you covered with its latest addition, “Wreck” – the British comedy horror series from BBC Three. The series that was originally released last year in its native U.K, is set to bring a new flavor of horror to the streaming world, and can only be streamed on Hulu.

Wreck, a six-part series of Euston Films (known for “Dublin Murders”) and up-and-coming British writer Ryan J. Brown will be launching on Hulu on March 1. This was made possible through a partnership with distributor Fremantle.

Described as “a tense thriller, mixing comedy with a slice of slasher, set aboard a mega cruise ship,” the comedy horror series by Hulu involves a 19-year-old Jamie who sets out on a mission to uncover the truth about his missing sister. Jamie, a new recruit, infiltrates a massive crew of 1,000 members on a huge cruise ship, determined to find out what happened to his sister who vanished while working on the ship. Meanwhile, the crew is busy living it up, overworked and underpaid, completely unaware of the sinister murders taking place right under their noses.

The show features a star-studded lineup of some of the hottest and most talented actors in the industry today. Leading the charge is Oscar Kennedy, who starred in “Ladhood,” alongside the dynamic Thaddea Graham, known for her role in “The Irregulars.”

Jack Rowan, who wowed audiences with his performance in “Noughts + Crosses,” brings his A-game to the series, along with Harriet Webb, known for her work in “I May Destroy You.” The talented Jodie Tyack, from “The Window,” Louis Boyer, Anthony Rickman, Amber Grappy, Diego Andres, Peter Claffey, Miya Ocego, Warren James Dunning, Ramanique Ahluwalia and Alice Nokes round out the impressive cast, all bringing their unique talents to the screen.

The trailer for Wreck has been released, demonstrating how deadly it could be as the killer duck in a raincoat chases Jamie’s sister Pippa (Jodie Tyack) with a knife. Jamie understands that it is his responsibility to investigate, but it is simpler said than done with so many dark corners of the ship, several duck-billed goons, and companions who are too afraid to peek in the dark with him. The crew is also of little assistance. They’re completely inept and inattentive, and some of them appear to be violent in their own right, brandishing weapons and threatening Jamie. He and his pals must be cautious that the spacecraft destroy them as well.

If you’re a fan of the horror genre, Hulu has some of the best scary movies to stream, but the channel is only available for audiences in the US. For those who live outside the US.
