Lal also commented on the fitness of Rahul and Shreyas, who have recently recovered from injuries. Rahul will, however, miss the first two games of the Asia Cup, including the blockbuster clash against Pakistan, after picking up a slight injury.
Though he expressed his fears about their fitness levels, the players will benefit from playing a few games before the World Cup, including the Asia Cup 2023, where they’ll be impactful.
