Netflix’s Global Fan Event: TUDUM – Trailer and Talent Line-up Revealed


We’re in an age where entertainment providers are trying their best to give the highest value to their customers and create a strong relationship with them. For example, Nintendo Direct, E3, has totally changed to become a full season of video game announcements, making the E3 2021 schedule more packed than ever before. Similarly, Apple’s event California Streaming took place yesterday, where the company unveiled its lineup of iPhone 13 and other products.

The fight right now is to capture a place in the mind of the consumer and, Netflix obviously won’t be watching in silence. After all, it is undoubtedly the world’s biggest streaming platform! So, it was only a matter of time until Netflix announced its first-ever global event, “TUDUM,” to give its audience a glimpse of what’s planned up for the upcoming months and especially 2022.

What is TUDUM And When is it Taking Place?

The event will air for free online on September 25 at 9 AM (PT) and will run for three hours. The stream will be available on Netflix’s YouTube channels, in addition to Twitter and Twitch. There will also be special pre-shows spotlighting Korean and Indian series and films along with exciting anime content that will kick off at 5 AM PST.

Yep… it’s not pronounced “Tu-dumb,” it is “To-doom.” The streaming giant has invited more than a hundred stars from across the globe to create hype for its 208m subscriber base.

Which Stars Will be Representing the Event?

The list of celebrities is HUGE! It includes stars like Dwayne Johnson, Regina King, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, Halle Berry, Zazie Beetz, Millie Bobby Brown, John Cho, Idris Elba, Kevin Hart, Jung Hae-in, Song Kang, Regina King, Jennifer Lawrence, Álvaro Morte, Elliot Page, Adam Sandler, Maite Perroni, Zack Snyder, Omar Sy…. to name a few.

The stars will be representing Netflix’s upcoming content on a virtual stage and talk and tease about content which includes over 70 series, films, and specials. TUDUM’s trailer emphasizes the global reach and appeal of Netflix, where stars announce their show and the date of the event in multiple languages, the titles of the original content are displayed in Coachella style blink-and-you’ll-miss-it. We also see Henry Cavill tell viewers of the trailer, “Join me and all of your favorite Netflix stars in the first ever global fan event.”

You can imagine the magnitude of the event by the fact that Netflix has created a website solely for the event. The website “” has all the information about the event, which stars will be coming, and news on Netflix itself as well. The site has been custom made for every country and highlights Netflix Originals that captivated local fans and also cherishes the titles that got global acclaim and following. Fans are invited to co-stream the TUDUM event so they can share their live reactions to the announcements online with their viewers.

Which Shows Will Be Featured in The Event?

Along with upcoming titles, TUDUM will also be bringing news about returning projects like, Bridgerton, Cobra Kai, Colin in Black & White, Cowboy Bebop, The Crown, Emily in Paris, Floor is Lava, Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), Stranger Things, Tiger King, ULTRAMAN, The Witcher and many more. In addition, the virtual stage will also spotlight blockbuster films like Red Notice, Don’t Look Up, Extraction, The Harder They Fall, and The Old Guard, and more.

Netflix has promised that the global event will have breaking news, first looks, new trailers, and exclusive clips during the three-hour runtime.
