Bangladesh-Fast-bowler-Ebadot-ruled-out-of-Asia-Cup-2023-BCB-Announces

On Tuesday, the Bangladesh Cricket Board made a statement that Bangladesh fast bowler Ebadot Hossain got ruled out from the most hyped ODI Asia Cup after facing a problematic knee injury. The fast bowler had already sustained a knee injury in the one-day international series against Afghanistan team last month.

Per the Bangladesh Cricket Board, hopes were high that the 29-year-old right-arm quick bowler would recover to play for the six-nation Asia Cup but, unfortunately, couldn’t.

However, as per the recovery progress, he could still make it in time to play for the anticipated ODI World Cup. Meaning, when you watch Asia Cup 2023 in USA the Bangladeshi bowling lead will be absent!

The appointed BCB chief physician, Debashis Chowdhury, claimed Ebadot’s anterior cruciate ligament injury would require subsequent treatment and, therefore, might exceed the expected recovery time.

No wonder fans vouching for Bangladesh would have to face utter disappointment if the fast pacer couldn’t make it to either Asia Cup scheduled between August 30, 2023 to September 17, 2023 or the ODI World Cup that happens to begin from October 5, 2023 in India.

Ebadot is one of the most significant players of the Bangladesh team, and his absence in the tournament might cripple and adversely affect the current standing of the team.

Affirming this, Chowdhury further ensured for Ebadot’s speedy recovery, every possible medical help is underway, considering the importance of Bangladesh’s play in the upcoming ODI World Cup.

Among the many anticipated matches of the team, fans are most eagerly waiting to spectate the clash against India. Other intriguing and spine-chilling matches that have been eagerly waited for by many include the host country’s take on Pakistan, and surely you can stream India vs Pakistan in USA with the help of a streaming service.

Ahead of the World Cup, Tanzim Hasan Shakib had been called upon by the BCB as a substitute for Ebadot. The uncapped bowler has played exceptionally in the recent Emerging Men’s Asia Cup and has been reputed for obtaining 57 wickets from 37 list a matches.

Considering Shakib’s inclusion, a total of five applauded players from the 2020 ICC U19 World Cup-winning team are now part of Bangladesh’s squad. Other terrific Bangladesh players for the Asia Cup include Shoriful Islam, Shamim Hossain, Tawhid Hridoy, and Tanzid Hasan.

It is to be noted that since Bangladesh will be in Group B of the Asia Cup, the team will not have to compete against Sri Lanka and Afghanistan.
