Coming this May, Hulu is set to premiere the highly anticipated limited series “Class of ’09 starring Brian Tyree Henry and Kate Mara. The suspense thriller explores the impact of artificial intelligence on the U.S. criminal justice system through the lens of a class of FBI agents. FX recently released the trailer to give fans a sneak peek.

The first two episodes of the FX series will be available on Hulu to stream from May 10. The remaining six episodes will then be released weekly. Here’s how you could watch it all on Hulu, if residing outside the US.

The series will also be available on Star+ in Latin America and on Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories.

As the trailer opens, an FBI class recites an oath together, swearing their allegiance to the pursuit of truth and knowledge. However, some individuals start to express concern about the bureau’s progress, setting an eerie tone for what’s to come.

The stakes intensify as characters immerse themselves in missions characterized by classic FBI elements.  The most prominent ones include rooms filled with lasers, hordes of agents swarming a home, intense gunfights, chaotic driving scenes, and countless monitors broadcasting the same image.

According to the official synopsis, the series is “Spanning multiple decades and told across interweaving timelines, the series examines the nature of justice, humanity and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and legacy.”

In some scenes, Poet (Mara), an undercover agent, can be seen with a dark-colored contact lens, hinting at the use of some technological device. Meanwhile, Tayo (Henry) speaks to a group of government agents, sharing information about the changes he oversaw in the bureau.

As Kate Mara and Brian Tyree Henry lead the ensemble cast, Mara plays Poet,one of the most successful undercover agents of all time,” while Henry takes on the role of Tayo, “one of the most unorthodox agents to ever join the bureau.” Sepideh Moafi, Brian J. Smith, Jon Jon Briones, Brooke Smith, Jake McDorman, and Rosalind Eleazar also join the cast.

Tom Rob Smith created and executive produced Class of ’09. Additionally, Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Zanne Devine, Jessica Levin, and Joe Robert Cole serve as executive producers. The series is produced by FX Productions and was ordered to series in June 2021.
