FX has announced the release dates for its collection of new and returning programs, among which is the highly-anticipated original limited series, “Class of ’09”. Starring the Emmy nominees, Brian Tyree Henry and Kate Mara, the suspenseful thriller is set to premiere on Wednesday, May 10 exclusively on Hulu.
Here’s how viewers could watch the series’ debut on Hulu, alongside a diverse set of shows, if you reside outside the US.
FX Networks announced the news on their Twitter account, confirming the series’ release date as well as its plot, which is a suspense thriller limited series that follows a class of FBI agents in three different time periods, dealing with significant changes as the American criminal justice system is impacted by artificial intelligence.

The narrative will cover a few decades and be “told across interweaving timelines” as it explores “the nature of justice, humanity, and the choices we make that ultimately define our lives and legacy.” With Tayo Miller and Amy Poet heading the group, the titular class from Quantico’s 2009 graduation will be prominently featured in the thriller series. After one of them dies, potentially due to AI intervention, the class will come together to work towards a shared objective.
Brian Tyree Henry as Tayo is regarded as one of the best FBI agents, distinguished by his intellect and unconventional case-handling methods. He has ambitious intentions to revamp the entire criminal justice system in an effort to leave his mark there. In contrast, Kate Mara’s character, Poet is described as “one of the most successful undercover agents of all time” and was an accidentally hired agent who ended up being excellent at his job. Both performers have a wealth of television experience, with Henry most known for his part in the comedy-drama Atlanta. For his work in Causeway with Jennifer Lawrence, he was included on the list of nominees for the recently held Academy Awards. Mara’s most recent projects include A Teacher, Call Jane, and Pose.
To further add, the suspenseful series will also feature Sepideh Moafi (Hour), Brian J. Smith (Lennix), Jon Jon Briones (Gabriel), Brooke Smith (Drew), Jake McDorman (Murphy), and Rosalind Eleazar (Vivienne) as supporting actors, alongside the two major characters.

Class of ’09 is a thrilling series created and executive produced by Tom Rob Smith. The show is also being produced by executive producers Nina Jacobson, Brad Simpson, Zanne Devine, Jessica Levin, and Joe Robert Cole. FX Productions is responsible for the show’s production. The series comprises eight episodes, with the first two episodes airing on the premiere date, followed by the release of new episodes every Wednesday.
The thrilling drama was previously ordered to series in June 2021, and according to Gina Balian, President of Original Programming at FX Productions, “Class of ’09 brings together an incredible team of artists who have contributed to several of FX’s most distinctive and successful series from American Crime Story and Pose to Atlanta and A Teacher. FX has yet to release a trailer for the series, but it did offer a sneak peek in a compilation clip of its upcoming shows. The series explores how the justice system can better serve justice in this unprecedented crime thriller.
