Together with the previously revealed Season 3 ensembles, which includes actors like Meryl Streep, Paul Rudd, and Jesse Williams, Ashley Park will join series stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez.

Park, a Tony Award nominee, co-starred with Lily Collins as Mindy in the popular Netflix series Emily in Paris. She became the first Asian American actress to be nominated in the Critics’ Choice category for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series because of her performance.

To further add, Park’s next appearance will be in Adele Lim’s Joy Ride, which follows four Asian American women as they travel through Asia in quest of one of their birth mothers and their shared experiences while doing so. In the movie, which has its SXSW premiere on March 17 and releases nationwide on June 23, she co-stars with Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu.

She will also appear in Lee Sung Jin’s upcoming dramedy Beef on Netflix, which follows two people who let an incident involving road rage control their every thought and movement. Beef is a Netflix original. On March 18th, 2023, Beef is scheduled to make its SXSW Festival debut, and on April 6th, it will be made available on Netflix.

The Broadway production of Tina Fey’s Mean Girls gave Park her breakthrough role as Gretchen Wieners, for which she is best known on-stage. She received positive reviews for her performance as Mwe in KPOP during the same season and was honored with several awards, including the Lucille Lortel Award for “Lead Actress in a Musical.”

Park is represented by Jackoway Austen Tyerman Wertheimer, CAA, and Brookside Artist Management, among others.

Coming back to the series, “Only Murder in the Building” centers on a group that includes Charles Haden Savage (Martin), Oliver Putnam (Short), and Mable Mora (Gomez), all of whom have a passion for real crime and podcasts. The three successfully identified Bunny Folger’s murderer as they effectively concluded Season 2 on a strong note. At the climactic moments of the season finale, the viewers saw Oliver making a comeback to Broadway in a production starring prominent actor Ben Glenroy. This set up the mystery for the upcoming season (Rudd).

The tension between Glenroy and his co-star Charles is evident, and when Glenroy enters the stage, he starts bleeding from the mouth and exhibiting other symptoms of poisoning before passing away in front of the crowd. All skeptical eyes are now on Charles, who was last seen with him during a difficult situation. How this turns out would be revealed in the upcoming season.
