“This Is Us” Star Sterling K. Brown Joins New Dan Fogelman Hulu Drama

Fans of the hit drama series ‘This Is Us’ can rejoice as Sterling K. Brown and Dan Fogelman are reuniting for a new drama series on Hulu. The streaming platform has given a series order for the drama, which will feature Brown in the lead role.

While Hulu has yet to reveal the logline or plot of their upcoming series from creator Dan Fogelman, it is speculated that it may involve roles ranging from a security guard to a former president. Brown is expected to play the role of the head of security for a former president in what is anticipated to be a thrilling production.

Fogelman reportedly presented a special script to the senior executives at both Hulu and 20th Television, and the series was picked up after being reviewed in secrecy.

The untitled series is being produced by 20th Television, Jess Rosenthal, and John Hoberg as executive producers. In addition to writing, Fogelman will be executive producing through Rhode Island Ave. While Brown, the three-time Emmy winner, will also be executive producing, alongside his starring role.

Furthermore, the show, led by Sterling K. Brown, is the second series that Fogelman has with Hulu, in addition to Only Murders in the Building, which he executive produces through his deal with 20th Television. Fogelman is represented by WME and attorney Bruce Gellman.

Alongside the aforementioned series, Fogelman has created various other TV shows, including “Pitch,” “Galavant,” and “The Neighbors.” It is noteworthy that the upcoming Hulu series marks a reunion for Fogelman and John Hoberg, who previously worked together on the latter two shows, that have been ABC’s cult favorites.

On the film front, Fogelman has a long list of writing credits that include “Cars,” “Bolt,” “Tangled,” “Crazy Stupid Love,” “Last Vegas,” “The Guilt Trip,” and “Me, Earl, and the Dying Girl.” Additionally, he has also directed and written the films “Life, Itself” and “Danny Collins.”

Coming back to the dynamic duo, Sterling K. Brown and Dan Fogelman are no strangers to working together, having previously collaborated on the hit NBC drama series “This Is Us“. Brown’s portrayal of Randall Pearson earned him five consecutive Emmy nominations, winning the award for best actor in a drama in 2017. The series received a total of 40 Emmy nominations, including four for best drama series.

Apart from “This Is Us“, Brown has also won Emmys for his role in “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story” and for best narrator in “Lincoln: Divided We Stand“.
