The Rumbling to Under The Tree: SiM’s Legacy Continues in Attack on Titan Final Season Part 3

The Rumbling to Under The Tree: SiM

Attack on Titan has become one of the most beloved and successful anime series of all time, with its intense storytelling, breathtaking action, and unforgettable characters. One of the defining features of the series has been its iconic opening theme songs, each adding to the epic nature of the show.

SiM didn’t disappoint, revealing that the new opening theme song would be titled ‘Under The Tree’ and dedicated to the character Mikasa. SiM official twitter account shared the news about the new song:

SiM expressed their own excitement about the new opening theme song and the opportunity to be a part of Attack on Titan final season. “To be honest, I was a little worried about what kind of response it would get before its release, but I feel that the fact that I was entrusted with the ending of an important episode that marks the final phase of this story is the answer to that question. This time, ‘Under the Tree’ is Mikasa’s song.”

SiM first made waves with their opening theme song for Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2, titled ‘The Rumbling.’ The song quickly became a fan favorite, with its heavy bass sound and dramatic orchestral elements perfectly capturing the intense and apocalyptic nature of the show. ‘The Rumbling’ has amassed over 80 million streams on Spotify and 58 million views on YouTube, cementing its place as one of the most listened-to anime tracks of all time.

SiM stated, “While incorporating elements such as orchestral strings and choirs, which are indispensable in the story of the great songs of the past, SiM’s unique bass sound along with “Ellen’s Cry” was used to create a song that stomped all over the place just like a “rumbling”. The Rumbling” is a song that stomps through everything like a “rumbling of the earth” with SiM’s unique heavy bass sound.”

The previous seasons of the series have followed the journey of Eren Jaeger and his friends as they fight against the Titans, mysterious giant creatures that threaten to destroy humanity. The final season has been highly anticipated by fans, as it promises to bring the epic story to a fitting conclusion.

The significance of ‘Under The Tree’ cannot be overstated. The series initially began with one of its most prominent and poignant images: Eren Jaeger sitting under a tree, watching a bird fly by in the sky. That dreamy state is interrupted when Mikasa comes looking for Eren. Without dropping any spoilers, it’s an image that shouldn’t surprise anyone to have popping back up as the series comes to an end. ‘Under The Tree’ will undoubtedly add to the emotional weight of the series, providing a fitting tribute to one of the most beloved characters.
