Wedding Officiant Mistook Kourtney Kardashian for Khloe at Drunken Vegas Ceremony

During Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker’s first of three weddings, the Elvis impersonator officiating the ceremony in Vegas mistakenly identified Kourtney as Khloe. The mishap caused Kourtney to break into laughter and added to the memorable moment.

This and the details of the other two Kravis weddings are all available in their newly released Hulu special, ‘Til Death Do Us Part: Kourtney & Travis’. The special came out on April 13, the couple’s first wedding anniversary.

Travis Baker shared this photo from the evening:

In the special, we see the hilarious moment on tape when the officiant says: “Travis, repeat after me,” he says. “I, Travis, take you, Khloe, to be my wife.”

The bizarre mixup sends Kourtney into a fit of laughter as she says she is “gonna cry.” Unphased by the giggles, the officiant continues: “I, Travis, take you, Khloe, to be my wife.”

Once the officiant stood corrected, Kourtney found herself on the floor in an uncontrollable fit of laughter,

“Wait, we need to FaceTime Khloe,” Kourtney says amid bursts of laughter. “She’s literally gonna die.”

Once the giggles subsided, Kourtney got back up on her feet and the rest is Kravis history.

“Vegas was the most perfect thing of all time,” Kourtney said in the special while sitting alongside Travis, who added, “Vegas was magical. My baby was loose.”

However, as memorable as that wedding was, the couple was not legally married at that moment because they could not procure a marriage license in time. And so the couple decided to have two more ceremonies to commemorate their love. In May, Kourtney and Travis legally tied the knot in Santa Barbara, and just a week later, they celebrated their beautiful ceremony in Italy.

The wedding at a Santa Barbara courthouse happened only so that this time around their marriage would actually be legal. “Because we were getting married in Italy, to make it legal, we had to do our paperwork in the United States, in California,” Kourtney explained. However, it was still special for the two, Kourtney said: “My grandma and your dad being there as the only people there because they couldn’t fly to Italy.”

When asked in the documentary which their favorite is wedding Travis said: “It’s like choosing a child — I can’t pick the best one,”

He added: “Vegas was like our wild, rockstar wedding. Santa Barbara was as traditional as everybody else’s wedding could have been.” Kourtney chimed in: “And then Italy was really romantic and classic.”

The majority of the show centered around Kourtney and Travis’s Italy wedding, held at Dolce and Gabbana’s residence, which was attended by their entire families, including Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and Kylie Jenner. The wedding was also attended by a few of their well-known friends, such as Machine Gun Kelly and Travis’s Blink 182 bandmate, Mark Hoppus.

Kourtney and Travis repeatedly said on the show that they wished for a low-key and intimate wedding and that they were surprised when paparazzi and fans descended upon the town. It was almost as if they had momentarily forgotten their level of fame. However, this comment was contrasted by the fact that a large part of the show is focused on footage of them constantly dressed up in Italy, traveling in yachts, and name-dropping designers.

The rehearsal dinner was similar to any other, with family members becoming slightly inebriated and individuals attempting to give speeches but merely echoing what others had already said.

“We just want to make a toast to Kourtney and Travis to say how much we love you guys. We couldn’t be more happier for guys combining this amazing, beautiful family,” said Kris. “This is going to be the best weekend of your life, and I hope you capture the most amazing memories.”

“We love you guys. Long live Kravis,” Khloé added.
