The reality star, Al Perkins, had an appearance on Season 9 of Married at First Sight (MAFS), but he is now getting ready to join the Love Island Australia Villa as a Bombshell. Al is back on the matchmaking series looking for love following an unsuccessful relationship with Samantha Moitzi on MAFS earlier this year.
Al has no idea what is going on inside the Villa, but he has confessed that he is prepared to “start cutting some grass.”
In conversation with hosts Sylvia Jeffreys and David Campbell he told, “It sounds cliché but you’re going to go in there and chase who you really like, try to form connections, step on toes if you have to, and obviously everybody’s going to be Coupled Up,”
And, when he was questioned about the similarities and differences between Love Island and MAFS, Al said that they are “very different.”
“On Married at First Sight you’re paired up with one girl. You know what I mean… I’m a seven girl kind of guy,” he quipped.
“The experts paired you with one girl but on Love Island you’ve got, you know, a bunch of girls to choose from. So it is very different in that sense.”
Even though this is not Al’s first attempt at finding love on reality TV, he has warned David and Sylvia that he does not want his mother to watch this program since there may be “under the sheets moments.”
Al revealed after being asked about his mother’s feelings on his participation in the show “Mum was pretty sweet with me going on MAFS but honestly, Love Island is a totally different beast,” added, “She probably really wants to watch, but I’m going to hide the TV remotes when it comes on.”

This week, finally, Love Island Australia participants were hit with a major surprise after having Al Perkinson at the show. It would be an understatement to say that the Islanders were pleased about the presence of the famous face witnessing a sampling of their amusing responses:
Stella was arguably the most excited person to meet the reality star, and she admitted right away that she had a “reality TV celebrity crush” on him.
After she had finished asking him questions about his time on MAFS, Al asked her if she wanted his signature after he had finished answering all of her questions for him.
Shortly, she summoned him for a conversation and began to regale him with a funny account of how they first met online.
“I’m so excited! I commented on your TikToks, and you’ve actually replied to my comment,” she gushed.
“It was that one where you… this is so embarrassing by the way that I’m saying this. You were building like, that little kitchen top. I said, ‘This content is so wholesome!’ you said, ‘Thank you…I’ll post more. And then you never did…”
“Maybe once we leave the Villa together, you’ll see me do it in person!” he giggled back.
Towards the end of the evening, the women were congregating around Al near the Firepit as he was putting on one of his famous shoeys for everyone to see.
“Al’s shoey made the entrance. That was the best entrance the Bomb has ever done,” Jessica said.
Mitchell didn’t seem quite as excited and added, “It’s the Al show tonight. It’s almost like Brad Pitt walked into the Villa.
“All the girls had their attention on him… I think all the boys need to be worried about Al.”
“All the eyes are on Al tonight. He’s got at least five options, I’d say!” Holly gushed in the Beach Hut.
“It’s fierce, it’s almost like tigers in the wild waiting to feast,” Maddy added.
“I will be fighting until the death for Al,” Jessica said. Ohf!
