Grey’s Anatomy star Jesse Williams is joining the hit Hulu Originals series Only Murders In The Building for season 3. The show’s lead star Selena Gomez made the announcement on Tuesday, February 28, when she shared a photo of her and Williams in the show’s dressing room.
In an Instagram post, Gomez said: “So @ijessewilliams is killing it on season 3 guys.. @onlymurdershulu @hulu.” However, she did not say which character he would play.

The show has also formally announced that Meryl Streep will be joining the cast in season 3, along with Ashley Parks of Emily in Paris fame.
On January 17, Gomez posted a brief video of the OMITB season 3 cast, which included a surprise shot of Meryl Streep.

Martin also posted the same Instagram snapshot of the cast. In the photo, Streep is seen wearing her hair in loose braids.
Only Murders in the Building, which premiered on Hulu in 2021, stars Gomez Martin Short and Steven Martin. The two are shown to be true-crime fans who become entangled in a murder investigation. At the time of its premiere, the show was the most-watched comedy series on the streaming platform. With its roaring success, the show will probably not be ending any time soon.
Weeks after season 2 began streaming on June 28, 2022, it was announced that Hulu has ordered another season of chaos, mystery, and yes, apparently more murders in the building.
Of course, it goes without saying that Gomez, Short, and Martin are all back for season 3. The true-crime-obsessed trio will reprise their roles as Arconia tenants Charles-Haden Savage (Martin), Mabel Mora (Gomez), and Oliver Putnam (Short). However, there has been no confirmation on season 2 stars Cara Delevingn or Nathan Lane returning to the show.
Paul Rudd, who appeared as Ben Glenroy, the star of Oliver’s (Brief) Broadway show, in a surprise appearance towards the close of the second season, was discovered dead at the conclusion of the season finale. The third season is expected to centre on the investigation into Glenroy’s murder, and Rudd has been sighted at the sets as well.

“Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate,” Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment president Craig Erwich said in a press release announcing the third season. “Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan, John, Steve, Marty, and Selena’s work. We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story.”
Based on the looks of it, it doesn’t seem that season 3 will be the show’s last. During the press tour for the show, Martin jokingly said that he and Short want to continue the show until they’re old and grey: “Until I’m in a walker, that’s how long I’d like to do it.”
