Jenna Ortega, portraying the famous Addams Family character from Netflix’s “Wednesday” series, has been shown hitting her co-star in the face in amusing bloopers. She made her debut on November 23 in the series created by Alfred Gough, Miles Millar, and Tim Burton.

The most recent adaption of The Addams Family revolves around Wednesday Addams as she adjusts to life at her new boarding school and seeks to investigate a series of murders. The story occurs at the mysterious institution for outcasts known as Nevermore Academy. Due to Ortega’s unwavering dedication to the part of Wednesday, she has earned appreciation from the audience and the reviewers who have watched the show.

Ortega’s dedication to Wednesday’s gothic characteristics caused her to rarely blink, let alone smile while playing the character. Wednesday hardly smiles once over the eight-episode season, mostly maintaining her face expressionless and somber.

However, Netflix has now released a ‘gag reel’ for the popular series, which sees Ortega breaking character and smiling in her Wednesday attire numerous times, giving viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the show. Ortega also unintentionally strikes her co-star Emma Meyers in the face with a flashlight in the film, which is a humorous depiction of Wednesday’s regular responses to her roommate Enid.

It is quite likely that Ortega and the rest of the actors will agree to come back for a second season, if they consider how much they enjoyed themselves working behind the scenes during the show’s production.

Even though Netflix has yet to decide on the series renewal, the fact that it has broken records for the number of viewers in the time since its debut makes it a strong possibility. In a stunning development, the fourth season of “Stranger Things” was overtaken by Wednesday as the titleholder of the record for most hours seen on Netflix in a single week.

Wednesday has been a hit with spectators despite a mediocre critical reaction, and, as previously said, Ortega’s rendition of Wednesday has received worldwide recognition.

Furthermore, the show’s creators have already stated that they plan to lay down three or four seasons’ worth of plots, implying that there will be plenty of material to explore in Wednesday season 2 and beyond. While Wednesday’s first season concentrated on the character’s out-of-place experience with Nevermore, her powers, and her interest in the murder investigation, Millar has previously teased that season 2 will center on Wednesday’s new connections and interactions with others.

A second possible season of Wednesday will, in addition to focusing on the character’s newly formed relationships with other people, expand the number of Addams family members that appear on the show and give them more significant roles.

Ortega revealed that she wants the next season to have a darker tone while discussing her expectations for season 2.  She also expressed a wish to have Wednesday featured in the role of an anti-hero rather than having her play it safe and act as a straightforward hero.

It is hoped that Netflix will make a formal announcement on the continuation of Wednesday in the near future, but in the meanwhile, viewers may watch all eight episodes on the streaming platform.

Viewers may also get an idea of what will happen in the show by watching the trailer for Wednesday before they start watching the whole series.
